On Saturday, Sept. 9 from 9:00 AM-1:00PM, the Washington County Free Library will host its second annual Shred-it-Saturday Fundraiser at the Hagerstown Premium Outlets, 495 Premium Outlets Blvd., Hagerstown, MD.

Up to five (5)  banker size boxes per vehicle will be accepted for shredding. We ask that you please plan on making a monetary donation for shredding your materials. Funds received support the library's educational and cultural classes and events.

What should you shred? Anything that has a signature, account number, social security number, or medical or legal information. Identity theft is one of the fastest growing crimes.  Even though we are in the cyber age and computer hacking is on also on the rise, much identity theft information is obtained through hard copy paper sources.

Protect your identity and support your library at the same time. Bring your private papers out and shred them today!
